A Brief History
Heritage Tree Farm, established January 1, 1997 with its new name, has a long, long history under the family name of Hardy. The farm exists because our pioneer "forefather," Abe Hardy, found the area while on a hunting expedition in about 1870 and subsequently founded a family and our farm.
Today, Abe's great granddaughter shares operation of the farm with her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Dean Hardman, plus their young family, Matthew, Sara and Chloe.
Over the years the farm has produced a variety of crops and products. In the 1930's we were producing timber and beef. During WWII-we added sheep and turkeys that were important for the war effort. However, by the early 1950's farmers in our area were learning to grow a new crop, cultured Christmas trees grown plantation style. Since that time our farm has been growing Christmas trees.
As Christmas tree growers for the wholesale market, we take pride in producing quality trees that are harvested with utmost care and shipped absolutely fresh to our buyers.
